At Blue Dragon, we pride ourselves on being a family-oriented and loyal team. It’s important that in maintaining this mentality, we owe it to our guests to share the changes that we make and provide a thoughtful explanation, because as a guest sharing our food, you are part of our family too. 

 

As of September 2nd, 2019, we will be implementing a kitchen appreciation (2%) to guest checks that will directly benefit ourback of house team.

 

As a restaurant, the difference in wages between front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) over the past few years has grown increasingly large. All of our employees work extremely hard to ensure guests have wonderful experiences. As the Boston restaurant scene continues to grow, we have adjusted our menus and prices to adapt. While this has provided benefits for our FOH staff, our BOH employees have not been able to similarly benefit. This kitchen appreciation will ensure that no matter what, at the end of the night our dishwashers, prep cooks, and line cooks will be compensated appropriately regardless of how well the restaurant did that evening. We greatly thank you as do our BOH employees.
